Primal energies, becoming manifest

in material symmetries as flower and bee,

create self-replicating forms,

Self-contemplating beings.

The circle thus complete,

remaining open, spirals on.

All without end.

And what ends for us

beyond death and transformation,

our initiation; a second birth,---

and glorification?

The intercourse of primal energies

with the willfully self-aware,

splitting atoms, splicing genes,

can make a heaven out of hell,

or a hell from heaven.

The ultimate profanity is the vanity

that puts profit and self-interest

before enlightened principles

of wise use and reverential respect.

Then we create a hell from heaven

and we and Earth are never well.
